It’s so hard to believe that this time next week I will be on my way to Mexico! I’m trying to get my act together before I head off, sort out everything I need to get done, get myself packed, especially in advance of the coming weekend’s festivities. I really want to make sure I don’t leave myself a heap of things to do in a hungover mess before I go. Oh.the.stress!
Anyway, I’m going to try to post a few times on the blog during the week before I head off, mainly to get used to doing this when I’m away! I’ve been meeting lots of friends over the past few weeks, many of whom have travelled before themselves so they have just been amazing at sharing advice, tips, do’s and don’ts, for my trip. I’ve also been really lucky and have already been introduced to some friends of friends in places that I’ll be visiting, including Dee in Mexico City (who told me about the hostel I’ll be staying in for the first four nights run by her best mate http://hostel333.com/) and Alan, a Mexican friend of my Plan colleague Aidan.
I stumbled upon this online last week and I’m SO excited about visiting this when I get to Mexico City.
La Casa Azul was always on my list of places (in the world) to visit, but that there will be an exhibition of Frida’s wardrobe for the first time ever is so amazing too. http://www.museofridakahlo.org.mx/
It started snowing here today for a bit which is ever so slightly worrying me…I’ve heard Heathrow is nuts at the moment too with the weather in the UK so I’m crossing everything that it will be okay to travel next Monday.
Una semana más!
